Happy birf day to me!

Just want to give you a little recap of my birthday weekend. On Friday I went to the scariest place next to Disney land. A place called Willow creek Church. They are a very big very powerful church in the north western suburbs. My friend had his going away party there because he's leaving for Iraq. He plays the bongos in a Christian rock band and I guess for the church as well. Like any other catered affair it had oily roast beef sandwiches, dry chicken breasts and pastas for the main course. The entertainment was uplifting to say the least. Very Christian rock sing to our lord or burn in hell you non-Christian fuck sort of deal. Which wasn't completely unpleasant. By the end of the night and the man of honor shedding some tears it was time to go home. I got lost trying to get out of the parking lot and I am now a born again born again. Praise the lord!

On my second night of Brian's Bday extravaganza we all went to a rather tourist blues club called Legends. Now Buddy Guy's wasn't bad. Let me say that right off the bat! The food was above average for Creole in Chicago and the free acoustic performance guy didn't whore his CD out to much. By the time the real star act got on the stage we were 6 hours in and all pretty much ready to go home. The interesting part of this night was Jim's Co-worker showed up three or four or 289382309 hours after we got there cause you know we were there forever... and I'm not sure but we might still be there. Anyway moving on, I never officially met this guy, he walked in and walked to our table doing a very fast air guitar even though the music at the time was of a slower beat. Of course first thing I wanted to do was make fun of whoever loser table that guy was going to sit at. Which turned out to be ours naturally! So I avoided eye contacted because he seemed to want to dance the entire time right next to our table. Again at times moving faster than the music actually playing. To give you a little description of what he was like imagine Night at the Roxbury and Ups guy from Mad tv. Anyway I don't think I can say anymore with out being overly mean so I guess I will stop here!

Now gifts to Brian:
1) Green Day's "American idiot" found in trash and given to me.
2) My former boss who was the best boss I've ever had was fired.
3) Parking ticket at the train station
4) A lovely drive into Wisconsin.
